At Kingsbury, we are proud to be part of raising awareness for important causes. Recently, Kingsbury participated in a fundraising opportunity for the American Heart Association through the Kids Heart Challenge. This challenge consisted of educating youth and families about the elements of health and fitness in everyday life, while also raising money that is directly donated to the American Heart Association. Through this challenge, KCDS proudly raised $5,975.66, and 19 students completed Finn’s Mission! As a special thank you for our participation, Kingsbury was invited by the American Heart Association to celebrate with the Detroit Pistons for a fun night! Our students were invited to participate in the free throw shot on the court post game and were chosen to join as Anthem Buddies on the court!
Kingsbury is proud to partner with organizations like the American Heart Association to raise awareness and funds for such an incredible cause. Thank you, American Heart Association and the Detroit Pistons, for a special night for our students!

“Rory came home so inspired to raise money for kids with special hearts after the assembly regarding the Kids Heart Challenge earlier this year. He made videos both to encourage people to donate, and then to thank them and keep the momentum going. He was so excited to have the opportunity to make a difference :) ” Rory’s mom, Tara
